Camping Opportunities

For those accustomed to the camping life, whether it’s an RV or a tent on the ground next to your rental car, there is currently no shortage of land to accommodate your stay in Southern Utah. Roughly 66% of Utah consists of federal land. Most of this is BLM land and National Forest, which usually offer free, or at least, cheap camping. Add to that, state parks, which offer cheap camping as well. All of these areas surrounding Saint George consist of many different amazing landscapes, from densely forested mountains to the famous orange slick rock deserts of Southern Utah.

We have designed these “Camping” pages to offer places to camp only.  There are really 2 different kinds of camping areas depending on whether you want a picnic table, fire ring, pit toilet and drinking water, or whether you are looking for nothing more than a flat spot and possibly some fire blackened rocks in a circle.
